Rachel and Nicolo

"Hello, loved one! In November 2014, we first met in our Antioch church group during a retreat, which Nico was helping manage, and Rachel joined as a candidate for the first time. On the first morning of the retreat, there was an icebreaker exercise where they’d call up random candidates to perform a talent. Rachel got called, and she sang the only song she could think of that she knew by heart - Somebody to Love by Queen. Interestingly enough, the only person not in the room from the retreat was Nico, until the very last line Rachel sang “can anybody find meee, somebody to looove,” and then Nico walked in, where we both noticed each other. We can’t make this up! Long story shorter, on January 14 2015, Nico shyly asked Rachel to be his girlfriend and she excitedly said yes. On July 11, 2023, Nico excitedly asked Rachel to be his wife, and she happily said yes. Now, 10 years later, we together say “I do” on our 10-year anniversary, January 14, 2025.
